I began my missionary journey in 2017 working with a local Japanese church. In 2022, we were able to start our first consistent English Bible Study, serving university students on Japanese college campuses. We had a small group of faithful students, many who had never heard the gospel before. I cooked a homemade meal every Tuesday evening and spent time afterward cleaning together and answering questions about Jesus, God, and the Bible. In 2024, the Japanese government declared our old missions housing to be out of code and thus will be torn down. As I move out of church housing into a place of my own in Japan, I am back in the states raising a bigger budget so I can continue to reach students and continue to disciple these new new believers. I only need an $800 a month more in support (or an extra $20,000 in savings to cover the next two years). I am still working part-time as an ESL teacher but more classes mean less time to spend doing outreach and discipleship.
